Becoming a member of the Association of Film and Video Editors (AFVE):
Below is a step-by-step guide to the membership process:

1. Eligibility:

Applicants should be actively working in Film, Television, OTT, Digital Media, Advertising, or Post-Production. Eligible roles include:

Film Editor / Associate Editor / Assistant Editor, TV / OTT Editor, Video Editor, DI Colourist,

AI Cinematic Artist, Post-production Technician.

Membership categories may include Premium, Lifetime, and Honorary memberships.

2. Membership Application

To apply:

  • Obtain the AFVE membership form from the office or download it via the provided link.
  • Fill out the form and email it to contact@afve.in.
  • Attach the required documents (listed below) along with the completed form.

3. Required Documents:

  • Identity proof (Aadhaar / PAN)
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Address proof
  • Work profile (IMDb link preferred)
  • In the absence of an IMDb link, a recommendation letter from a bona fide member

4. Membership Fees:

  • Applicable one-time joining fee
  • Annual or lifetime subscription options
  • Fees vary depending on the membership category
  • For exact fee details, please contact the AFVE office.
  • Payments can be made via NEFT/IMPS to the AFVE account mentioned below, or through online transfer using the Barcode Scanner provided below.

5. Review Process


All applications will be reviewed by the AFVE Committee for approval.

6. Confirmation

Once approved, you will receive your AFVE membership card and officially become a member of the Association of Film & Video Editors.
